Robert has worked with Third Sector organisations in project management and research related roles. His interests include the personal, social and economic development of disadvantaged young people, the human rights of asylum seekers and refugees and community development. His environmental interests have recently led to carbon reduction research for an East of England Development Agency funded project in the Thames Gateway South Essex area. He holds an MSC in NGO and Development Management. Robert is currently reading for his PhD in Applied Social Science.


Current Research Interests/Project

Playing Dependency? Understanding the NEET – Homeless Interface in relation to young people in the UK. This work runs parallel to a 3 year European Commission Framework 7 funded project involving Portugal, Netherlands, Czech Republic and the UK – Combating Social Exclusion among Young Homeless People. Young people are co-researchers in this comparative study of youth Homelessness.
