Nora Duckett is a registered social worker and an academic. Her teaching responsibilities, research interests and expertise reflect over 20 years of practical experience. Nora teaches on the following MSc and BSc modules Critical Aspects of Human Growth and Development, Planning Care / Safeguarding Children, Effective Communication in Social Work and Foundation for Social Work Practice.  

Current/recent projects and awards

With Joan Smith - Combating Social Exclusion among Young Homeless People.  A European Commission funded, three-year (2008-11), comparative study of youth homelessness in 4 European countries. This project is looking specifically at young people born in and outside of the UK and involves training ex-homeless young people as co - researchers. See http://www.movisie.nl/118836/eng/
