Jane Lewis is a senior lecturer in economic geography in the department of Social Science (DASS) at London Metropolitan University teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses in social and spatial change and inequalities in cities, city regeneration policy and globalization. She has a background in higher education and in local government having worked in research and policy in regeneration and local economic development for two boroughs within London. Her research interests and experience include cities and city regeneration/revitalisation policy, including economic change and labour markets. Jane has conducted a wide range of research into local economic development and labour market issues, skills needs and training audits, particularly of the unemployed and into women's employment and ethnic minority business and enterprise.
