Dr Galina Gornostaeva has a research and teaching background in Economic and Social Geography. Her particular research interests are in economic characteristics, management specificity and geographical patterns of cultural industries, especially media. She is currently conducting a research as a co-applicant and a researcher on Film and Television production chains in London, funded by the ESRC under the lead of Dr. A Pratt at the LSE. She has also undertaken research on cultural production/consumption relationship in cultural clusters/quarters with the particular attention to the night time economy. At the moment she is involved in research on City Fringe City Growth Strategy funded by the LDA.
