| "I am a civil engineering student completing the second of a three year MSc course at the ENTPE (National Graduate School of Urban and Rural Management, Development, Planning and Design), specializing in Urban Planning. I did my second year internship in the Cities Institute where I worked on the AUNT-SUE research project. My job was to survey public realms from pedestrians and passengers points of view and to produce presentation for students of transport, planning and civil engineering. This internship allowed me to develop my apprehending of public realm issues and problems through several methods of assessment. It also gave some experiences about the transfer of knowledge from the research sphere to the educational domain. In the end I have worked on both technical production and presentation of results to people who are not necessarily familiar with the subject (such as elected representatives). Thus it will benefit my career on several level." |
